Canadians Rushing to Buy Retail Goods as Tariffs Loom – Prices Set to Rise 10-25%!

Canadians Rushing to Buy as Tariffs Loom – Prices Set to Rise 10-25%!

In a whirlwind of uncertainty, Canadians are scrambling to secure their purchases before major tariff increases take effect. Originally scheduled, then delayed, these tariffs are now expected to hit by the end of February, forcing retailers across the country to increase prices by 10-25%

At Relaxacare, we are proud to have products stocked in Canada, allowing us to minimize immediate disruptions. However, like all retailers, we’ve been bracing for impact. When the 25% tariff codes were active for just nine hours, the response across the industry was unanimous:
"We have to raise prices."

We are actively working to find ways to combat these rising costs, but the reality is clear—once these tariffs fully roll out, Canadians will be paying significantly more. That’s why we urge shoppers to act now, buy before the tariffs take effect, and support local businesses that are doing their best to navigate these changes. With big purchases like buying a massage chair, a sauna or cold plunge, 25% can be extremely costly to our consumers. We urge them to buy now before these tariffs go into effect.  We know Canadians want low prices, good products and amazing service. Carbon taxes and other high taxes are hurting all of us and our goal is to do our best to get these health products out to our customers at low costs to combat those high costs.  We are working around the clock and working on new strategies to ensure these major impacts wont impact our amazing customers.

And with Trump expected to formally announce his economic plan, the impact could be even greater than anticipated. Brace for major changes—and shop smart while you still can.
